About

Built From Experience. Guided by Standards.

More than twenty years inside private households shaped our understanding of exceptional service-where character, judgment, and discretion matter as much as professional credentials.

The Private Service Registry was founded to bring that understanding to private chef search and placement.

Founded by

Don Breitkreutz

Don’s career began in San Francisco in 1997, where he trained at the California Culinary Academy and developed his craft in some of the city’s most respected kitchens, including Gary Danko, South Park Cafe, Masa’s, and Aqua.

That foundation led to more than two decades in private service, cooking inside private households, ranches, and yachts.

Those years provided a firsthand understanding of the responsibilities, expectations, and relationships that define private service.

Don continues to work as a private chef, remaining closely connected to the profession and the households The Registry was created to serve.
